Patrick Wisdom
Patrick Wisdom Optioned to Triple-A
Mon, Jun 15, 2026, 12:59 PM
The Mariners optioned Wisdom to Triple-A Tacoma on Monday.
Analysis: After making five straight starts at third base, Wisdom was absent from the lineup for each of the past four games. A corresponding roster move -- which is expected to be J.P. Crawford (hand) being activated from the injured list -- will be announced prior to Tuesday's contest versus the Orioles.
Domingo Gonzalez
Domingo Gonzalez Clears waivers
Mon, Jun 15, 2026, 12:59 PM
The Mariners outrighted Gonzalez to Triple-A Tacoma on Monday.
Analysis: Gonzalez will remain part of the Seattle organization, but he no longer possesses a spot on the 40-man roster after getting designated for assignment and clearing waivers. The 26-year-old righty has made five appearances out of the Mariners bullpen this season, logging a 4.70 ERA, 1.83 WHIP and 5:5 K:BB in 7.2 innings.
Makes full-season debut
Mon, Jun 15, 2026, 11:24 AM
Knipp (elbow) was assigned to Single-A Inland Empire on June 5 and made his debut for the affiliate a day later, striking out a batter and scattering one hit and two walks over a scoreless inning.
Analysis: Knipp hasn't pitched for Inland Empire since making his debut, though it's unclear if his absence over the past week was the result of a setback or simply part of a workload-management plan coming off Tommy John surgery, which he underwent in early 2025. Before joining Inland Empire, Knipp made six appearances in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League, where he turned in a 5.68 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 10:2 K:BB over 6.1 innings.
Cal Raleigh
Cal Raleigh Activation from IL imminent
Mon, Jun 15, 2026, 11:11 AM
Raleigh (oblique) is expected to be reinstated from the 10-day injured list prior to Tuesday's game against the Orioles, Adam Jude of The Seattle Times reports.
Analysis: Seattle is poised to get some major reinforcement to the lineup ahead of its six-game week, as infielder J.P. Crawford (hand) is also on track to return from the IL on Tuesday. Coming off last season's runner-up finish in the AL MVP race, Raleigh has been a major disappointment so far in 2026 with a lowly .560 OPS in 41 games before he landed on the IL on May 14 due to a right oblique strain. On an encouraging note, Raleigh looked to be dialed in at the dish during his five-game rehab assignment between High-A Everett and Triple-A Tacoma, reaching base in every contest while going a collective 7-for-17 with five home runs and a 2:3 BB:K. He should step back in immediately as Seattle's No. 1 catcher after the Mariners had been leaning on timeshare of Jhonny Pereda and Mitch Garver behind the plate over the past month.
Emerson Hancock
Emerson Hancock Rare letdown in third loss
Sun, Jun 14, 2026, 8:16 PM
Hancock (5-3) took the loss Sunday against the Nationals, allowing six runs on nine hits and no walks in four innings. He struck out four.
Analysis: Four of the hits allowed went for extra bases Sunday in what was Hancock's season-worst outing virtually across the board. The 27-year-old right-hander gave up a season-high six runs and nine hits, also fanning a season-low two in his shortest start of the year. Hancock will try to flush Sunday's outing in his next scheduled appearance at home against Boston, still holding an outstanding 3.28 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 75:17 K:BB over 79.2 frames.
Josh Naylor
Josh Naylor X-rays return negative
Sun, Jun 14, 2026, 3:15 PM
Naylor had X-rays on his right shin come back negative after leaving Sunday's loss to the Nationals, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.
Analysis: Naylor was forced from Sunday's contest after fouling a pitch off himself, but he appears to have escaped with a bruise. The 28-year-old went 1-for-3 before his exit and is batting .250 (12-for-48) with two doubles, three homers, a steal, eight RBI and seven runs through 12 games in June. Naylor will have Monday's team off day to aid in his recovery before Tuesday's series opener versus Baltimore.
Andres Munoz
Andres Munoz Battling tight back
Sun, Jun 14, 2026, 3:09 PM
Munoz was removed from Sunday's game against the Nationals due to lower-back tightness, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.
Analysis: The Mariners closer entered for the ninth inning of a 7-1 game since he hadn't pitched in nearly a week, and he allowed both batters he faced to reach before departing with the injury. The initial diagnosis is encouraging since it's not an arm issue, and Munoz should be considered day-to-day heading into Tuesday's series opener versus Baltimore
Andres Munoz
Andres Munoz Departs with apparent injury
Sun, Jun 14, 2026, 2:47 PM
Munoz was removed from Sunday's game against the Nationals due to an apparent injury, Adam Jude of The Seattle Times reports.
Analysis: Making his first appearance in nearly a week, Munoz allowed a hit and a walk on nine pitches before exiting the contest with training staff. It's the second notable injury of the day for Seattle, which also saw Josh Naylor (shin) depart after fouling a pitch off himself.
Josh Naylor
Josh Naylor Exits with injury
Sun, Jun 14, 2026, 2:17 PM
Naylor was removed from Sunday's game against the Nationals due to an apparent right shin injury, Adam Jude of The Seattle Times reports.
Analysis: The 28-year-old fouled a pitch off himself during the top of the sixth inning and stayed in to finish his at-bat, but he was replaced by Patrick Wisdom at first base for the bottom of the frame. Naylor went 1-for-3 with a double prior to leaving the contest and should be considered day-to-day heading into Tuesday's series opener versus the Orioles.
Patrick Wisdom
Patrick Wisdom Back in bench role
Sun, Jun 14, 2026, 11:45 AM
Wisdom is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals.
Analysis: After making five consecutive starts at third base from June 6 through Wednesday and going 2-for-18 with two walks and a run during that stretch, Wisdom has been relegated to the bench for the Mariners' subsequent four contests. Miles Mastrobuoni has stepped in as Seattle's new top option at third base since coming off the 60-day injured list Wednesday, but he'll likely shift into a utility role once J.P. Crawford (hand) makes his expected return from the 10-day IL this coming Tuesday. Seattle could designate Wisdom for assignment in order to clear room on the roster for Crawford.
Miles Mastrobuoni
Miles Mastrobuoni Drawing fifth straight start
Sun, Jun 14, 2026, 11:42 AM
Mastrobuoni will start at third base and bat seventh in Sunday's game against the Nationals.
Analysis: Since being reinstated from the 60-day injured list Wednesday, Mastrobuoni has handled a starting role in the infield in five straight games. He's gone 3-for-13 with a walk, a stolen base, two runs and an RBI through his first four starts (three at third base, one at second base), but Mastrobuoni's run of regular playing time will likely come to an end beginning with Tuesday's game against Baltimore. The Mariners plan to reinstate J.P. Crawford (hand) from the 10-day IL that day, and he and Colt Emerson are expected to be prioritized on the left side of the infield over Mastrobuoni, who will move into a utility role.
J.P. Crawford
J.P. Crawford Plans to return from IL on Tuesday
Sun, Jun 14, 2026, 11:05 AM
Crawford (hand) said he expects to be activated from the 10-day injured list Tuesday when first eligible, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.
Analysis: Crawford has remained with the Mariners since landing on the IL on June 8 due to a right hand contusion and won't need to go on a rehab assignment prior to being activated after he's been able to take part in full baseball activities over the last few days. As Kramer notes, Crawford has taken grounders almost exclusively at third base in pregame workouts during the Mariners' ongoing road trip, so he could end up emerging as the club's primary option at the position once activated, which would allow Colt Emerson to continue playing regularly at shortstop. Crawford could face more of a squeeze for playing time on the left side of the infield once Brendan Donovan (groin/adductor) eventually returns from the IL, however.
Randy Arozarena
Randy Arozarena Remaining on bench Sunday
Sun, Jun 14, 2026, 10:19 AM
Arozarena (hamstring) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals.
Analysis: Luke Raley will draw another start in left field while the Mariners keep Arozarena on the bench for a second straight game after he exited Friday's 10-2 win with left hamstring soreness. Per MLB.com, Arozarena went through strength tests after suffering the injury that indicated an MRI wouldn't be necessary, so the Mariners seem to be confident that he'll avoid a stint on the injured list. He'll benefit from a team off day Monday before the Mariners open a three-game home set versus the Orioles on Tuesday.
Luis Castillo
Luis Castillo Fans four in sixth loss
Sat, Jun 13, 2026, 10:54 PM
Castillo (2-6) took the loss Saturday against the Nationals, allowing five runs (two earned) on seven hits and two walks in 5.2 innings. He struck out four.
Analysis: A throwing error by Josh Naylor kept three earned runs of Castillo's ledger, but Washington got to the hurler for two more runs in the fifth frame. The 33-year-old right-hander has worked at least four innings while yielding two earned runs or fewer in four consecutive outings, so he's performing a bit better as of late. Castillo will try to further improve on a 5.00 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 65:25 K:BB over 66.2 innings into his next scheduled appearance against Boston.
Jhonny Pereda
Jhonny Pereda Idle Saturday
Sat, Jun 13, 2026, 1:13 PM
Pereda isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Nationals.
Analysis: Pereda has notched a base hit in each of his last nine games but will cede a start Saturday to Mitch Garver, who will bat eighth while catching for Luis Castillo.
Randy Arozarena
Randy Arozarena Out of Saturday's lineup
Sat, Jun 13, 2026, 1:10 PM
Arozarena (hamstring) isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Nationals.
Analysis: Arozarena tweaked his hamstring while attempting to leg out an infield single in the third inning of Friday's contest. He'll now miss his first start of the season to allow his hamstring to recover, which will move Luke Raley to left field Saturday while Victor Robles starts in right. Arozarena said Friday that he expects to miss just a couple of days, per Adam Jude of The Seattle Times, so a trip to the IL may not be necessary.
Dominic Canzone
Dominic Canzone Swats homer No. 10
Sat, Jun 13, 2026, 8:33 AM
Canzone went 2-for-4 with a triple, a home run, two runs scored and three RBI in Friday's 10-2 rout of the Nationals.
Analysis: The 28-year-old got the nod at DH and launched his first career triple in the second inning before connecting on his 10th homer of the season in the eighth with a solo shot off Paxton Schultz. Canzone has six multi-hit performances in the last 13 games, a stretch in which he's slashing a blistering .436/.463/.949 with nine of his 17 hits going for extra bases, including five home runs.
Bryce Miller
Bryce Miller Impressive again Friday
Sat, Jun 13, 2026, 8:30 AM
Miller (3-0) picked up the win during Friday's 10-2 rout of the Nationals, allowing two runs on four hits over eight innings. He struck out seven without walking a batter.
Analysis: Both runs came on solo shots by James Wood and Dylan Crews, but Miller otherwise sailed through his second straight quality start on 91 pitches (65 strikes). The 27-year-old righty hasn't given up more than two runs in any of his six outings (five starts) since making his season debut May 13, posting a 1.54 ERA, 0.71 WHIP and 36:5 K:BB through 35 innings as he puts his 2025 struggles behind him. Miller will look to stay dialed in during his next trip to the mound, which is scheduled to come at home next weekend against the Red Sox.
Dominic Canzone
Dominic Canzone Hits solo shot
Thu, Jun 11, 2026, 10:48 PM
Canzone went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's 7-5 loss to the Orioles.
Analysis: Canzone has nine homers on the year, including five over his last 14 contests. He's batting .381 (16-for-42) with seven RBI in that span as he continues to be fairly productive in a strong-side platoon role. Canzone is now hitting .276 with an .874 OPS, 26 RBI, 23 runs scored, 12 doubles and a stolen base over 170 plate appearances on the year.
Luke Raley
Luke Raley Pops 14th homer
Thu, Jun 11, 2026, 10:45 PM
Raley went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Thursday's 7-5 loss to the Orioles.
Analysis: Raley has endured a cold start to June. He's been held hitless in seven of nine games this month, going 3-for-31 (.097) since the calendar flipped. The outfielder is still batting .249 on the year, and he's added an .835 OPS, 14 homers, 33 RBI, 23 runs scored and a stolen base over 199 plate appearances. The Mariners appear to be committed to a platoon in right field, so Raley should continue to see steady playing time versus right-handed pitchers.
